Along with degrees in Secondary Education and Music, Mr. Boerner has studied choral conducting with Dr. James Jordan at Westminster Choir College along with Dr. Giselle Wyers of the University of Washington and the three time Grammy Award winner, Dr. Vance George; Chorus Director Emeritus of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. Further musical studies have included work under several nationally known choral artists including; David Fanshaw, Alice Parker, Donald Neuen, Moses Hogan, and Dr. Eph Ely of the University of Missouri.
Ross has years of training and experience on the pipe organ, piano and the trombone. Being primarily a vocalist, his credits include: having been twice ranked in national-level choirs, having performed solos in England’s Arundel Cathedral and Westminster Abby as well as the Notre Dame Cathedral in France. He has performed by selection in three concerts in New York’s famed Carnegie Hall, including the premiere of David Fanshaw’s African Sanctus.
Locally, Mr. Boerner teaches piano lessons to greater than a dozen students. He has also sung with the Norristown Chorale, The Boyertown Area Choral Association and the Montgomery County Choral Society. In 2014, Ross began as the Director of Music Ministries and Organist at The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in King of Prussia. He spent the previous 14 years in the same position at The First Baptist Church of Norristown.
